  • Gold Pan Lodge (Motel, Budget): Budget-friendly motel option for hikers looking to split a room. Close to Safeway.

  • Sav-Mor Foods (Grocery, Budget): A no-frills, budget-friendly grocery store. A solid alternative to Safeway for a full resupply without breaking the bank.
  • Grocery Outlet (Grocery, Budget): “Bargain Market” – Hiker trash paradise. Great for cheap snacks, unique trail foods, and cheap calories.
  • Safeway (Grocery): Main grocery store in town. Massive selection for resupplying your bear canister.
  • Sierra Bella Lanes (Restaurant, Beer, Entertainment): The local bowling alley with a surprisingly awesome sports bar and restaurant. Grab a stacked burger, specialty pizza, or loaded tots and a beer while you wait out the afternoon heat.
  • Quintopia Brewing Co. (Restaurant, Beer): Excellent local brewery. Huge burgers and great beer. A mandatory stop for hiker hunger.

  • Morning Thunder Cafe (Breakfast, Cafe): The best breakfast spot in Quincy. Expect massive pancakes and hearty hiker-sized portions.

  • American Valley Hardware (Hardware, Fuel): Great for basic repairs, duct tape, zip ties, and usually stocks isobutane fuel canisters during hiker season.
  • Mountain Building Supply (Hardware, Gear Repair): Locally owned ACE distributor and lumber yard. The go-to spot if you need to cut a new Tyvek groundsheet, grab some Shoe Goo for failing trail runners, or pick up denatured alcohol.
  • US Post Office (Mail Drop): Standard stop for picking up bounce boxes or pre-mailed resupply packages. Be sure to check their hours.
  • Quincy Pharmacy (Pharmacy, First Aid): Located downtown for first aid restock, blister care, and over-the-counter meds.

  • East Side Laundry (Laundry): Clean your trail clothes. Coin-op, usually has vending machines. An essential town chore.
  • The Quincy Hub: Visitor center and Made in Plumas County store. Shower, laundry, and wifi.
  • Plumas Transit Systems (Transit): Public bus that can shuttle hikers from Highway 70 (Belden area) into Quincy. Check weekday schedules.
  • Quincy Library (WiFi, Charge, Computers): Free WiFi, air conditioning, computer access, and a quiet place to charge your battery banks and map out the next section.
